Congratulations WSJ Technology Innovation Award Winners

Congratulations to two IllinoisVENTURES portfolio companies that were on the list of the WSJ Technology Innovation Winners 2006

Semprius Inc. an IllinoisVENTURES portfolio company was the winner in the Semiconductor category.  They won for a process for making large-scale, high-performance electronic circuits that can be printed to any surface.  Many different potential applications from inexpensive RFID tags to foldable displays.

Advanced Diamond Technologies (ADT) was a runner-up in the Materials category.  ADT, also an IllinoisVENTURES portfolio company, makes thin diamond coates from gas.  The coatings can be used for many applications from eliminating friction in machine parts to sterilizing implantable devices for humans.
